A cross-disciplinary research cluster of the SWW DTP investigating how (and why) events are remembered and memorialised.
This spring, the SWWDTP Memory Studies Research Cluster will host Mnemoscapes of the South West, a series of public workshops across the south west of England on memory as it is being experienced, contested and created today. There will be five workshops, each examining local and global cultural memory from a different angle, and each combining academic research, artistic practice and cultural and political practices of memorialization.
